Plastic Surgery Specialist in San Jose Offers VASER Liposelection
2011-07-01
SAN JOSE, CA, July 01, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Vincent Lepore (www.vincentleporemd.com), a board-certified plastic surgeon, is now offering his patients in San Jose VASER liposuction utilizing ultrasound Liposelection technology. Intended especially for people at or near their ideal weight, this unique body contouring procedure effectively removes troublesome fat deposits that don't respond to diet and exercise.

"Ultrasonic liposuction is an excellent option for patients wanting to resculpt exercise-resistant areas of the body," Dr. Lepore says. "In addition to removing fat cells from the abdomen, hips and thighs, it can improve the chin and neckline, slim the upper arms and define the back."

Unlike other liposuction procedures, VASER Liposelection uses ultrasound energy to target and dissolve fat cells, making them easier to remove. This approach helps protect nearby tissue, nerves and blood vessels, resulting in less pain and bruising after surgery and a faster recovery. Swelling and tenderness are usually well controlled with over-the-counter medications, and most people return to normal activities within a week.

"In many respects, VASER Liposelection is a kinder, gentler form of liposuction," Dr. Lepore notes. "But it's also more technically demanding and requires a highly skilled surgeon well trained in the procedure. In the right hands, patients achieve smoother, tighter skin and long lasting youthful contours post-surgery," adds the San Jose cosmetic surgeon.

In addition to ultrasonic liposuction, Dr. Lepore performs Smartlipo and tumescent liposuction. Each has advantages and disadvantages, and no one procedure is right for every patient. "It's very important that people know as much as possible about the many body contouring options," Dr. Lepore says. "I thoroughly discuss the risks, benefits and costs of each procedure so that patients can make the most informed choice possible."

Although liposuction can achieve dramatic results, it can't remove excess skin or tighten stretched abdominal muscles--problems common after multiple pregnancies or extreme weight loss. For patients wishing to address these issues, Dr. Lepore offers patients in and around San Jose tummy tuck surgery (abdominoplasty) either alone or in combination with liposuction. "Abdominoplasty is more invasive than liposuction and requires a longer recovery period. But for some people, it may be the best option for achieving a firmer, smoother abdomen."

Respected in San Jose and throughout Silicon Valley for his warm, supportive manner as well as his surgical expertise, Dr. Lepore is committed to creating a friendly environment where patients feel comfortable and respected. "Your cosmetic surgeon should never talk down to you or fail to keep you informed every step of the way. Nor should your care end when the surgery does. I strive to build caring, professional relationships with patients that last far beyond the actual procedure."

Dr. Vincent Lepore (www.vincentleporemd.com) is a board-certified plastic surgeon in San Jose whose most popular procedures include breast augmentation, breast lift, and body-contouring surgery such as abdominoplasty. Dr. Lepore earned his medical doctorate from the University of Cincinnati Medical School before going on to complete surgical training through Dartmouth University as well as Stanford University's prestigious plastic surgery department, where he has also served as a surgical instructor. Dr. Lepore is a member of surgical societies including the American Board of Plastic Surgeons, and is board-certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery. He has been in private practice since 1987.
