Thirty-Three Local Fine Artists Exhibiting At The Woodshed Gallery in Franklin Massachusetts

The Woodshed Gallery has selected the work of thirty-three outstanding local artists and will present a group exhibition of their art from July 5-30, 2011. A public reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, July 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

FRANKLIN, MA, July 02, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Woodshed Gallery has selected the work of thirty-three outstanding local artists and will present a group exhibition of their art from July 5-30, 2011. A public reception for the artists will be held on Saturday, July 9, from 3:00 to 5:00 PM.

The exhibition features fine art paintings, photographs, drawings and prints, by both well-known local artists and newcomers to the Franklin art scene. Styles of art vary widely, and include examples of realistic, expressionist, impressionist, abstract genres.

A single original piece has been selected from each artist, and several artists will also offer prints for sale at the exhibition. The artists are:

Evelyn Bernal and Linda Porreca from Needham, Rebecca Lane from New Bedford, Marie Hendrickson from Woonsocket, RI, Carol Frieswick of Whittinsville, Victoria Zak from Holliston, Rebecca Gutwin of Brookline, Nicole Rosato from Medford, Meggie Zhang of Belmont, Robin Wessman and Blake Waldman of Norfolk, Paul Peterson and Joe Scamardella from Medway, DiNo DiNapoli, Meri Belanger and Tatiana Roulin from Sharon, Stephen Halpert from Grafton, Mak Kramer of Boston, Sarah Alexander of Hopedale, Dorothy C. Downing, Mike Zeis of Uxbridge, and Dave Newmark of Milford.

Franklin is represented by Claire Griffin, Lisa G Bailey, Stephanie Miksis, Sue Sheridan, Gail Eckberg, Rebecca Skinner, Daydre Hamilton, Richard P. Cook, Kathe Kirchmyer, Bruce Wood and William Janosco.

This exhibition is part of a Woodshed Gallery program designed to help artists take control of their presentations and advance their careers.

The Woodshed Gallery was founded by professional artist Angelina Wood in 1968, and continues to be a family-run business. They specialize in conservation picture framing and the exhibition of original fine art. The Woodshed Gallery also shows a selection of hand-crafted jewelry, gift items and oriental rugs.

The Woodshed Gallery is located at 1243 Pond Street, Franklin, MA, near the Medway border.
Gallery hours are Tuesdays thru Fridays, 10AM-5PM, Saturdays 10AM-3PM.
