WAYNE, PA, July 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Deacom, Inc. (www.deacom.net) announces that D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., America's Oldest Brewery, has licensed the DEACOM Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) Software System to integrate its three facilities, with functionality including accounting, sales order management, regulatory reporting, purchasing, production scheduling, inventory, order entry, and retail Point of Sale (POS).
Founded in 1829, Yuengling is a brewer of lager, pilsner, porter, and ale. They are one of the largest American owned breweries by volume in the United States, producing over 2.5 million barrels of beer last year. The privately-held company previously had an UNIX-based software system, utilized numerous spreadsheets, and had a separate sales analysis system to handle its business processes and distribution across thirteen states. This combination of systems lacked the integration and functionality essential to helping Yuengling effectively expand their distribution network and increase production.
Wendy Yuengling, Project Manager at D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc., explains, "We wanted a system that would reduce the redundancy in our work and minimize much of the manual data entry, which exposed us to the potential for human error. In addition, we needed the ability to work within one system of shared data that would give us greater control and enhanced reporting capabilities. Now that we are live on DEACOM, we are excited for all departments to reap the benefits of a dynamic, integrated system."
The DEACOM ERP System is designed for batch process manufacturers. Because of this specialization, DEACOM can support the company's budget forecasting, sales reporting and commissions, pricing, plant equipment linkages, and lot tracking requirements natively. Without the need for costly customization, the DEACOM system is offered using a guaranteed, fixed price that includes software, full implementation, professional training, and technical support. D.G. Yuengling & Son, Inc. went live on the DEACOM Software System in June of 2011.
To learn more about the DEACOM Integrated Accounting and ERP Software System or to schedule an online demonstration, call 610-971-2278 ext. 15 or visit http://www.deacom.net.
Headquartered in Wayne, PA, Deacom, Inc. is the producer of DEACOM, a complete accounting and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) system for building component, process, and mixed-mode manufacturers with difficult-to-handle requirements. The DEACOM System seamlessly links all departments within a manufacturing company, providing a comprehensive view of the entire operation. By making complex issues simple, Deacom helps streamline manufacturing business processes to maximize productivity and profitability.
