CORNWALL, ENGLAND, July 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Jimmy Carr, one of the nation's funniest comedians, is heading to the Hall for Cornwall next month.
The TV funnyman will bring Laughter Therapy, his ninth solo show, to the Truro venue on Wednesday August 3rd.
Described by the theatre as "an evening of non-stop jokes, gags and banter", the show should appeal to anyone who enjoys live comedy.
Famed for his deadpan delivery and risque material, Carr has received a host of comedy awards and released popular DVDs such as Making People Laugh and Telling Jokes.
He is also a regular fixture on TV panel shows and has hosted several programmes for Channel 4, including the game shows Your Face or Mine? and Distraction.
Carr recently teamed up with Charlie Brooker, David Mitchell and Lauren Laverne to present 10 O'Clock Live, the channel's new satirical current affairs programme.
Tickets for his gig at the Hall for Cornwall are available online, priced at GBP25 plus booking fee. The show will begin at 19:30 BST.
