FOLSOM, CA, July 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Noted author and speaker, Jennifer Walker, author of last year's critically acclaimed Bubba Goes National is hosting a release party for her second novel, Bubba to the Rescue on Saturday, July 9, 2011 at 1:00 pm at The Market Place in Rancho Cordova.
Bubba to the Rescue is a sequel to Mrs. Walker's first novel, Bubba Goes National. It follows the story of Leslie Clark and her beloved horse, Bubba, and another mysterious horse, Spark, through another harrowing adventure. Friendships are threatened, love grows, and relationships change, but Leslie remains true to herself and to her values throughout. This is a stellar sequel to last year's outstanding book. According to Jennifer and the publisher, these books are aimed at a tween and young teen audience, but they are so delightfully written that adults embrace them too - especially adults who love horses.
Jennifer will also speak on Saturday, sharing her experience in writing her first novels, offering pointers to first time writers and guidance for more experienced ones who want to get that first book into print. According to Jennifer, "The toughest part of writing a book is getting started. I am going to share some pointers that I hope other writers will find valuable about how I get started and keep the ball rolling."
The Market Place at 11395 Folsom Boulevard in Rancho Cordova, California, is a huge supporter of local authors, and offers regular forums for them to meet the public and one another. At the Second Saturday Series at the Market Place, shoppers and browsers will not only meet favorite local authors, but they will also encounter lots of great vendors and an all-organic fruit and vegetable market. This is a fantastic family outing destination.
Come out to The Market Place on Saturday to meet Jennifer and get your copies of her books signed. Copies will also be available for purchase. Cash, checks and major credit cards are all accepted.
Your Document Professionals (YDP) offers professional quality writing to small and medium sized business clients who do not maintain in-house document departments. YDP is the outsourced communications department.
