Ben Feldshuh Tells Stories through his Art at Agora Gallery

Ben Feldshuh is a contemporary artist whose interest is in the drama of the inner life and the social life of people, the city and its impression on the mind, as well as the pleasure of what pigment and color can convey.

2011-07-07
NEW YORK, July 06, 2011 (Press-News.org) Chelsea's Agora Gallery will feature New York artist, Ben Feldshuh, in A Maze of Milieu. The exhibition is scheduled to run from July 26, 2011 through August 16, 2011 (opening reception: Thursday, July 28, 2011).

About the Artist
Disarming and bright, the paintings of Brooklyn born artist Ben Feldshuh are a pure expression of enjoyment. Employing a blocky, Cubist-inspired form of abstraction, Feldshuh depicts personal insights about the wide world around us. His oil paintings express "the drama of inner life and the social life of people, the city, and its impression on the mind," he states. Feldshuh's palette favors lustrous pastels and verdant natural hues with solid outlines. Compositions appear to unfurl before our eyes as we detect familiar forms from the multitude of active shapes and patterns. He has been painting since childhood, and while the years have added skill and the ingenuity of experience, he still manages to convey a wonderful sense of innocence and freedom to experiment in his paintings. Covering a variety of subjects, he celebrates a fresh snowfall, a lovely lounging woman, or the earliest moment of evolution from the sea.

Ben Feldshuh is presently exhibiting his paintings in New York and will most certainly continue along his lifelong artistic path.

Exhibition Dates: July 26, 2011 - August 16, 2011
Reception: Thursday, July 28, 2011, 6:00 - 8:00 p.m.

About the Exhibition:
The artists whose works make up A Maze of Milieu use their art as a primary means of communication with and about the world they experience. Interpretive Realms presents the power of artistic creativity and flexibility combined, with works that sweep the audience away through their passion and purpose. A delicate simplicity and a carefully poised perfection define the works in The Portal of Tranquility, an exhibition in which talented artists achieve a beguiling balance between what we know and what we would like to perceive.
