Debra Gould Provides Tips for Scheduling Home Staging Consultations

Home staging expert Debra Gould gives advice to home stagers for managing home staging appointments.

2011-07-07
TORONTO, CANADA, July 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Many home stagers worry about finishing one home staging consultation with enough time to get to their next scheduled consultation. Debra Gould, The Staging Diva, discusses strategies for eliminating this stress altogether in the Home Staging Business Report.

Gould, founder of the Staging Diva Home Staging Business Training Program, explains: "I used to race around like a mad woman trying to fit 10 home staging consultations into a week. I was always afraid to put a client off and feared that if I didn't see them right away, they'd find a home stager somewhere else. Then I realized that if you're in demand, clients will wait for you to be available."

After this realization, Gould began booking only one home staging consultation per day. She says that having just one client each day gives her leeway if the appointment goes longer than expected and also leaves her time for business-related tasks and family demands.

Gould says, "With that one simple change, my whole outlook on being a home stager changed. I was having more fun, I was calmer, and paradoxically, my income actually went way up!"

For more scheduling advice from Debra Gould, home stagers can visit the Home Staging Business Report on the Staging Diva website.
