Citrin Cooperman Raises More Than $15,000 in Support of the American Cancer Society's 2011 Relay For Life of Ocean City, N.J.

PHILADELPHIA, PA, July 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Citrin Cooperman, a leading accounting, tax and business consulting firm in Philadelphia, raised $15,652 in support of the American Cancer Society's 2011 Relay For Life of Ocean City, N.J. which was held on June 24 and 25, 2011. During the event, Citrin Cooperman's team of 20 members gathered at Ocean City High School and took turns walking and running around the school's track in honor of the Society's mission to eliminate and prevent cancer.

Jeffrey Gittler, CPA, a firm partner and supporter of the American Cancer Society, led the charge for the Relay For Life program in the Philadelphia office. Individually, Gittler raised more than $12,000 for the cause and encouraged his co-workers to support the effort.

"The fight against cancer is a cause that is near to my heart, so it was moving to see my colleagues rally and support this great program and organization," said Gittler. "Relay For Life is a life-changing event that gives people a chance to celebrate the lives of those we know that have battled cancer, to remember lost loved ones, and to fight back against this major health problem."

Gittler brings more than 30 years experience to ensuring that Citrin Cooperman's work meets the highest standard levels. He is a member of the firm's Quality Control Group. Prior to joining the firm, Gittler served as a technical manager at the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants.
