LOS ANGELES, CA, July 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) The unstoppable & undeniable 15 year old talent, Ayla Stackhouse (pronounced "Ay-Luh") is a Detroit-native and natural-born singing sensation fortified with operatic training, jazz chops, budding capabilities on three instruments (classical piano, guitar and clarinet) and a passion for writing her own songs. Her debut CD and lead single "Somebody Who Loves Me" was produced by multi-faceted Motown veteran Michael B. Sutton. Her musical style is "Pop-Rock-R&B-Alternative...a list of styles all mushed together!"; says Ayla.

She is a self-professed Regina Spektor fan. "Her voice is a little strange but I really like it. Plus she plays piano. She wanted to be a classical pianist, just like me. She does pop but the music she plays is amazing. I listen to her everyday" says Ayla. When she's not training or rehearsing, she also listens to and is influenced by: Justin Bieber, Demi Lovato, Miley Cyrus, Justin Beiber, Willow Smith, Taylor Swift and Mariah Carey.

The centerpiece of the collection is Ayla's" debut single "Somebody Who Loves Me," inspired after she read the book "The Last Song" - a novel written expressly for Miley Cyrus to bring to the big screen. "It's a story about a dark 'emo' girl whose father taught her to be this amazing pianist, but when her parents split up, she decides she never wants to play again...until she meets a boy who changes everything for her. Then she breaks through and blossoms."

Ayla also wrote Falling," a wistful and blissful delight in ¾ waltz time that sweetly reflects the feelings of a young girl experiencing the magic of love for the first time. Ayla composed the song on her signature pink guitar. "I wrote 'Falling' in 8th grade with my best friend Kaitlin," Ayla shares. "I did the music and we worked on the lyrics together. I'd bring my guitar to school everyday then during recess and lunch I'd sit on the bench outside, play and try to write songs. I wrote 'Falling' in ¾ because I just love the way it feels...it's the Chopin in me."

A "straight A" Student, Ayla attended the Bates Academy of the Gifted in Detroit. She has already been recognized winning awards such as: Top Vocalist at Bates Performing Arts School, Appreciation award from City of Hope, National Public Lands Day Award for working with the environment, Inland Idol Award semi-finalist and made it to the the second round in Simon Cowell's X-Factor.

Ayla's most spectacular performance to date was sharing the stage with legendary vocal group The Drifters singing Etta James' "At Last" in the showroom at Eagle Mountain Casino. Othe performances include: Performing with Opera stars Francesco Attesi and Annika Kaschenz in "Night of Italian Stars" - in Italian, accompanying herself on guitar singing the Gershwin classic "Summertime" for a City of Hope Fundraiser, a solo piano recital of Beethoven's "Fur Elise," performing at the JazzJourney Institute in Philadelphia and at AIDS Walk Los Angeles.

"I used to draw pictures of me on stage with my name in big lights behind me and people screaming in front of me," Ayla concludes. "I drew that picture over and over again because it's all I ever wanted...and I want to be doing that for the rest of my life." No doubt she will.
