tHE.DESIGN and The Moonlighters Orchestra set to Rock the 2011 Big Bad Ball

The 10th anniversary Big Bad Ball will host two of Raleigh's most popular bands, tHE.DESIGN and The Moonlighters Orchestra.

RALEIGH, NC, July 07, 2011 (Press-News.org) Get ready for An Unforgettable Evening as two of the Triangle's most popular bands prepare to take the stage at the 10th anniversary Big Bad Ball. The Moonlighters Orchestra and tHE.DESIGN will keep guests dancing into the early hours of the morning. Presented by the Capital City Club's Young Executives, the black tie gala benefiting Hospice of Wake County will be held Saturday, October 1, 2011 from 7p.m. - 1a.m. at the Capital City Club in Raleigh.

The Moonlighters Orchestra will kick the party off with the big band, swing and rock music that has made them a local favorite for more than 20 years. The band will also provide a jazz trio in Cap's Pub later in the evening for those who prefer a more intimate wind down to the festivities. In their fourth year performing at the Big Bad Ball, tHE.DESIGN will keep the energy going until 1 a.m. with a repertoire of current pop and rock hits as well as music from the '70s, '80s and '90s. Named as one of the up and coming bands of 2011, tHE.DESIGN consistently ranks in the top five bands in the United States for private events by Gigmasters. About the Big Bad Ball

Presented by The Capital City Club's Young Executives, the Big Bad Ball is an annual black tie gala benefiting Hospice of Wake County. The 10th anniversary fundraiser will feature live music performed by tHE.DESIGN and The Moonlighters Orchestra, a silent auction, door prizes, and a $10,000 raffle. Guests can enjoy five open bars a wide selection of hors d'oeuvres and a late night breakfast. Each year, the event raises upwards of $100,000 to support Hospice's Benevolent Care Program, which provides necessary end-of-life care for terminally ill patients and their families.
