DESOTO, TX, July 10, 2011
City of Desoto residents, Jim and Marilyn Terrel, create a taste of Tuscany in Desoto an old world celebration. The Best Southwest communities warmly welcomes Marilyn's Fine Food at the grand opening held Wednesday June 22, 2011. Residents, business owners, and public officials from the Desoto Chamber of Commerce arrived greeted with a sample of Chef Raymond's signature cranberry orange bread and a spread of cheese and wine served by owners Marilyn and Jim Terrel. Lead by seasoned Chef Robert Young, staff served Chef' Eloy's butter milk fried chicken breast, Chef Lula's Meat Loaf, mashed potatoes, mixed vegetables, Carrot and Raisin salad and a smorgasbord of cakes, pies and dips. When Jim and Marilyn Terrel realized that fast food restaurants in the south did not provide residents with a place to get a great healthy meal they sought to fill the need in their community. Marilyn's Fine Foods seeks to serve hard working families in Desoto and the area with a place to drop in or drive through and pick up a great meal on the go. They offer healthier solutions by serving home cooked dishes that have not been overly processed and saturated with hormones and pesticides. Desoto and the surrounding community has welcomed Marilyn's Fine Foods with open arms and has coined Marilyn's Fine Foods "the taste of Tuscany in the heart of Desoto."
