MIAMI, FL, September 20, 2010 (Press-News.org) The staff at Medical Accounts Systems and the attorneys at Jorge M. Abril, P.A. are pleased to announce the launch of Healthcare Provider Payment, a blog dedicated to helping healthcare professionals and other interested parties stay abreast of relevant news and emerging trends in healthcare reimbursement, from insurance litigation news and Managed Care contracting issues, to health law and policy in general.

The blog is a collaborative effort of these two organizations, each of which have seen firsthand the changing landscape of healthcare provider-payor relations over the last decade, which is changing now more than ever as a result of the recently-enacted Health Reform. Its authors hope to create an open dialogue with healthcare providers, health plans, and consumers. The first topic to be addressed will be out of network provider reimbursement rates and balance billing under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (PPACA) and its implementing regulations. Those interested in following the blog should visit http://www.healthcareproviderpayment.blogspot.com and subscribe to updates using their favorite RSS reader. Comments are welcome, subject to the site's terms and conditions.
