WASHINGTON, PA, July 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) Peacock Keller, a full-service law firm in Washington, Pa., will sponsor its 4th Annual "Off the Shelf... A Celebration of Books" event on September 21, 2011. The unique evening of entertainment to benefit 20 libraries in Pennsylvania's Washington, Greene and Fayette counties will be held at the Hilton Garden Inn in Southpointe, Canonsburg, Pa.
This year's program, themed Far Beyond the Blue Sky, will feature a keynote address by Dr. Jay Apt, an author, former astronaut and professor of Carnegie Mellon's Tepper School of Business and the Department of Engineering and Public Policy along with a stunning visual presentation of the most recent two decades of human space flight.
Prior to the evening, attendees will choose a book about space around which they will decorate their table on the day of the dinner. Tables will be judged on creativity by a panel of judges and awards will be given. Cocktails will be served at 6 p.m. and silent auction items will be on display with raffle tickets on sale. Also, throughout the evening, guests will be able to vote for their favorite table and the table with the most votes will receive the People's Choice Award. Dinner will be served at 7 p.m.

"Proceeds from Off the Shelf will help fund the creation of a Regional 'One-Card' Network with the vision of ensuring that every resident may go to any library in our three-county region and use one library card. This system will increase convenience and accessibility for library customers as well as add cost savings and efficiencies that will benefit the entire region."
Sponsorship opportunities are available and live and silent auction items are being collected. Tables of eight can be for purchased for $600 and corporate tables can be purchased for $1,000.
