Local Entrepreneur Reviving Community, One Home at a Time

CLIFTON, NJ, July 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) A nine-year veteran of real estate investing, Ankit Duggal, Founder of RER, LLC, has bought, fixed, and sold his fair share of real estate. But Ankit's rarity lies in a vision that stretches much further than flipping houses— the young entrepreneur has set out to revitalize distressed neighborhoods into valuable communities, one home at a time.

Ankit Duggal, Founder of RER, LLC a real estate investment and consulting company based in Clifton, NJ, is a man with big plans. Thriving in the business of investing in real estate— buying, repairing, and selling properties—he has transformed an otherwise cold and impersonal line of work into one that finds a purpose beyond a profit: redeveloping distressed neighborhoods into desirable communities, house by house. Currently servicing the Northern New Jersey region, one of Ankit's areas of focus lies in Newark, where he has acquired and renovated over ten properties within 2010-2011 and is on track to revive an equivalent of an entire city block of homes by the year's end.

"Real estate investing isn't just about buying low and selling high," Ankit shares his insight on real assets. "To me, it's about the domino effect: Taking a house that's been practically reduced to scraps and turning it into the gem of the neighborhood. Not only do you end up with this great product, but now, you've increased the value of the house, which in turn escalates the value of surrounding properties, and ultimately, the value of the neighborhood. What's even better is getting deserving families into these homes." Having worked in areas ranging from Clifton and Montclair to Union City and Jersey City, the entrepreneur finds diamonds in the rough throughout Northern NJ and polishes them into his unexpected "gems."

One of Ankit's primary cities of focus today is Newark, a municipality recently known for its economic redevelopment projects. "I'm very excited about being able to make my contribution to Newark's progression. We've got three Newark assets under our belt for 2010-2011, and we're planning on picking up at least seven more by the end of the year. We want to be that spark that raises Newark's residential value," Ankit explains his aspirations for the city.

Those seven properties will be a hefty addition to the assets Ankit plans on acquiring— he is scheduled to purchase, renovate, and sell no less than thirty houses by December 2011.
