NEW YORK, NY, July 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Big Lead Sports (BLS), the number #1 independent online sports property in the U.S. not controlled by a major media company or sports league, today announced that it has entered into a broad strategic relationship with NBA All-Star Amar'e Stoudemire of the New York Knicks. Stoudemire will work with BLS on content initiatives (including basketball and lifestyle features), an online fantasy sports platform, and an educational program for kids, featuring a fantasy math curriculum. As a part of the arrangement, Stoudemire will become a shareholder in BLS and an advisor to the company.

Stoudemire will become a regular contributor to BigLeadSports.com and other BLS web sites such as Hoopshype and HOOPSWORLD providing features to fans on professional sports and lifestyle endeavors. He will also work with BLS to create an educational curriculum for young people based on math and fantasy basketball. Finally, the nine year NBA veteran will also partner with BLS on an online fantasy basketball platform.
The partnership with Amar'e Stoudemire is the latest in the series of exciting moves made by Big Lead Sports in recent months. The company's destination site, BigLeadSports.com, was re-launched in June with new feature sections on business, pop culture and media. BLS also entered into an agreement with the Football Writers Association of America (FWAA) to be the digital home of the organization's weekly and annual college football awards, including the prestigiousOutland Trophy. These new elements, among others, have been well received by fans, and in June 2011, Big Lead Sports reached more than 17 million unique users, ranking it #5 in the U.S among all online sports properties and the #1 independent online property (not controlled by a major media company or sports league).
