Hundreds of business leaders, project managers, corporate recruiters and vendor partners are convening in Austin, TX, on Tuesday, September 13, 2011, for the annual Professional Development Day(PDD), hosted by the Austin Chapter of the Project Management Institute. The full- day conference is an opportunity for business leaders to learn how to make project management indispensable for strong business results and allows leaders to tailor their educational experience to suit their interests.

Keynote from Rory Vaden, author, speaker and entrepreneur, will detail the self-discipline it takes to conquer fears and take immediate action in business and create extraordinary performance. "Having heard Rory Vaden speak at the national PMI conference last year, I'm very excited to have him kick off our 9th annual PMI Austin Professional Development Day." said Pamela Hammond, Professional Development Officer, Austin PMI. "Offering multiple breakout sessions and an opportunity to network with your peers, not only is the PDD is an exceptional value for your PDU investment dollars, but it's a fun way to get them as well!"

In addition, the full-day event offers a multitude of breakout sessions with respected business leaders speaking on topics ranging from project management to business excellence and project best practices from project managers, solution integration specialists, and other industry experts. Professional Development Day is designed to showcase how project management is fundamental for business results, provides industry leading topics to propel careers of current and prospective leaders as well as providing a fun filled educational experience that will include a vendor fair, lunch and door prizes.
