Grammy Nominated Rhythm and Blues Artist, Carl Thomas, Will Release Fourth Album "Conquer"

Carl Thomas's fourth album to be released on October 4, 2011.

2011-08-12
PROVIDENCE, RI, August 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Well-known R&B singer Carl Thomas, who first topped the Billboard charts with his single "I Wish" in 2000, is expected to drop his fourth album, Conquer, on October 4 of this year. The platinum-selling recording artist, known for hits including "Emotional" and "Summer Rain," last released an album in 2007.

So Much Better peaked at #25 on the Billboard Hot 200 list, but also set a high bar for future albums. Conquer puts Thomas' tenor voice and emotional tone, admired by legions of male and female fans alike, on display. While his voice alone has won extensive praise, more recently it is the presence Carl Thomas maintains through his Twitter account (@Mr_Carl_Thomas) and Facebook page, which have drawn attention. Thomas is one of few celebrities of his caliber who regularly respond to comments, questions, and shout-outs from fans using social media networks.

Thomas' soulful voice has been compared to Nat King Cole, Al Green, and Marvin Gaye. He was nominated for a Grammy award for his work "Everyday" alongside Chaka Khan, Yolanda Adams, and Gerald Levert. Conquer is expected to be popular among existing fans and, hopefully, to encourage a wider group of listeners to explore R&B sounds.
