REDMOND, WA, August 12, 2011 (Press-News.org) Emurasoft, Inc. is pleased to announce the release of EmEditor Professional version 10.1.0, the latest upgrade for the EmEditor text editing software for Windows. ZDnet called EmEditor the "world's fastest text editor" (ZDnet, 2010). EmEditor Professional is a lightweight text editor designed to balance speed of operation with robust features.
The ability to work quickly and efficiently means faster, better results. EmEditor strives to provide users with the most streamlined, yet complete experience. Features such as the Large File Controller cut down load times for large files, allowing for quick and easy editing of files even larger than 248GB. Users can create powerful macros that further increase productivity without compromising functionality.
EmEditor supports Unicode (UTF-16, UTF-8, and UTF-7) as well as numerous international encodings, allowing users to optimize their work for multiple international settings. The program also offers support for CJK Extension B and extended Katakana characters.
In addition to built in features, EmEditor also offers users the opportunity to create and download plug-ins that work with the EmEditor interface to add further functionality to the program. Several important plug-ins come pre-installed with EmEditor, such as the Explorer and Snippets plug-ins, which allow users to view the folder tree directly in the main interface and insert pre-set words and phrases into the document, respectively.
Version 10.1.0 is the latest, fine-tuned upgrade of EmEditor Professional. The version includes multiple international language options, and all of the powerful features available from previous EmEditor versions.
Additionally, users who purchase EmEditor before November 1, 2011 will be eligible for free major upgrades in the future. After that date, new license customers will be required to pay an upgrade fee for new released versions.
EmEditor is fully compatible with Windows 7, Vista, XP, 2000, Server 2008, and Server 2003.
