NORFOLK, ENGLAND, September 21, 2010 (Press-News.org) People looking for some Halloween fun while staying in Norfolk hotels next month may decide to explore Holkham Hall.
The 18th century country house will become a hub of spooky activities on October 30th and 31st, when it hosts a special ghost hunt.
Visitors attending Halloween at Holkham will be invited to walk the corridors of the Bygones Museum, where the organisers have promised "horrors to be discovered around every corner".
The event is priced at GBP4 for adults and GBP2 for children aged between five and 16, with younger visitors set to receive a special Halloween treat.
After the ghost hunt, brave souls can head over to the Stables Cafe, where ghoulish treats such as vampire's blood and monster cookies will be served up for their enjoyment.
Built by the first Earl of Leicester Thomas Coke, Holkham Hall is considered one of the finest examples of the Palladian revival style of architecture in England.
It was constructed between the 1730s and 1760s, with 6.5 acres of walled gardens added by architect Samuel Wyatt during the late 1700s.
Between April 1st and October 31st, Holkham is open to the public between 12:00 and 16:00 BST on Sundays, Mondays and Thursdays.
General admission to the Hall and Bygones Museum is priced at GBP11 for adults and GBP5.50 for children.
For more information on this event, visit the Holkham Hall website.

At least it is not the best treatment for the 60% of patients who abandoned it. This does not mean CPAP is not the most effective treatment, what it means is no matter how effective a treatment may be, it is a poor treatment if it is not used. Oral appliances are an extremely effective treatment for mild to moderate sleep apnea but less effective for morbidly obese patients and those with severe sleep apnea.
