ALEXANDRIA, VA, August 31, 2011 (Press-News.org) eRepair recently announced an innovative new tool for recovering corrupted DBF files in *.dbf format. eRepair DBF [ http://www.erepairdbf.com/ ] is a flexible and easy to use tool for recovering table fields, records from DBF files, and data from MEMO fields. Users of the software simply select the DBF file that has been damaged and then eRepair DBF does the rest through an automated process.
eRepair DBF is designed to be used by novices or intermediate and advanced users who want to save time recovering damaged DBF files. The software utilizes a proprietary algorithm to examine and analyze the data in corrupted DBF files and relevant files that involve MEMO fields in fpt or dbt. During the analysis process eRepair DBF does not modify database files and instead recovers the data through an intelligent wizard that steps you through the process.
Once users download and install eRepair DBF the software provides multiple options for selecting the DBF files that require restoration. Once the file is designated the software provides an analysis of the content which includes the table fields and offsets in the DBF file that identify the beginning of each record. If the DBF file contains MEMO fields that are related to the file, eRepair DBF will perform an analysis of the fpt or dbt data.
eRepair DBF is also capable of examining table records and analyzing the structure and data of a MEMO file. If the DBF file that is being recovered contains a MEMO file and there are included files that are not being used, eRepair DBF will only process the links to the files that are relevant to the DBF file.
Once the process is complete the user selects a destination file for the data that has been recovered from the damaged DBF file. When the process is complete eRepair DBF will generate a report that provides specific details of the restoration process and the files that were recovered.
eRepair DBF is capable of recovering data from dBase Version IV, Clipper, Visual FoxPro, FoxPro2, and many other databases that support this type of format. The software is available in a free trial version to allow users to take a test drive before choosing the full version. The free trial does not allow you to save the recovered files to the destination folder. Instead it allows you to view the files that were recovered during the analysis process to provide you with an idea of how well the software works. The full version of eRepair DBF provides users with full control over the data recovery process without any limitations.
eRepair DBF allows users to quickly recover damaged DBF files without having to invest a lot of time or spend the money to hire a database expert. The software provides an affordable and convenient solution for restoring files through an automated process that would otherwise take countless hours to accomplish.
eRepair Rolls Out Innovative Software for Damaged DBF Files
Damaged DBF files can be very time consuming to recover and often require a database expert. Now there is a way to recover these files without have any special knowledge or expertise.

Illinois–UC Berkeley discovery turns seaweed into biofuel in half the time

URBANA – University of Illinois scientists have engineered a new strain of yeast that converts seaweed into biofuel in half the time it took just months ago. That's a process that's important outside the Corn Belt, said Yong-Su Jin, a University of Illinois assistant professor of microbial genomics and a faculty member in its Institute for Genomic Biology.
"The key is the strain's ability to ferment cellobiose and galactose simultaneously, which makes the process much more efficient," Jin said.
