ADELAIDE, AUSTRALIA, September 22, 2010 (Press-News.org) Music lovers can combine a trip to the beautiful town of Willunga with a visit to next month's Fleurieu Folk Festival.

Acts from throughout South Australia and some interstate artists will be taking to the stage during the event, which runs between October 22nd and 24th 2010.

Unlike some festivals, Fleurieu is firmly aimed at families, with a range of activities planned to appeal to both the young and old who make their way to the site from some of the cheap accommodation Adelaide has available.

Bush poets, children's entertainers and a variety of stalls will be present at the occasion, while the organisers are also keen on a spot of audience participation, urging visitors to "bring an instrument and join in the sessions".

Venues across Willunga will host the event, with guests having to pay A$10 for a day's access to the main site - The Stadium - while the rest of the festival is free.

Numerous acts have already been confirmed as appearing on the headline stage, with Damien Howard & The Ploughboys, Doug Ashdown, Cloudstreet and Spiral Dance among the featured artists on October 23rd.

Willunga is within easy driving distance of many Adelaide city hotels, given that it is located just 50km south of the South Australian capital.
