FOLSOM, CA, October 05, 2011 (Press-News.org) Every parent wants their children to survive that enviable attack by the brain-eating legions of the undead. But parents can't exactly plop their kids down to watch Night of the Living Dead if they expect to get any sleep for the next few weeks. So, what's the right age to start preparing you kids for the invading masses of walking dead?
The magic age is ten, according to MJ Ware, author of the just released book: SUPER ZOMBIE JUICE MEGA BOMB (ISBN #978-1466355019).
"I wanted to write a book that would be suitable for the widest age range possible," says MJ. "Something that would teach children basic zombie survival rules in a safe environment."
By safe environment, MJ is referring to the novel way he's devised to kill zombies. Without, revealing any spoilers let's just say it evolves lemons and a little chemistry.
"The problem with most zombie books and movies is that they are too violent for teens." MJ adds, "I needed a more human way of dealing with the undead. My book had to be not so much blood and guts, but more blood and snot—zombie snot that is."
The result is what MJ claims is a scientifically sound method of neutralizing the undead, which sends the book's main characters running around taking out walking corpses using Super Soakers filled with lemonade.
"What kids don't realize is that while they are reading, they're actually learning zombie survival techniques."
To help promote both his book and child zombie preparedness, MJ is giving away zombie survival kits all month long on his blog (http://www.mikeware.com). Each kit features survival items used in the book. These kits, like the book, are "kid safe."
October 8th is World Zombie Awareness Day. What better time to start thinking about how one can prepare their children for the rise of the evil dead.
Super Zombie Juice Mega Bomb is available in both print and ebook formats from Amazon (http://www.amazon.com/Super-Zombie-Juice-Mega-Bomb/dp/1466355018) and Barnes & Noble (http://www.barnesandnoble.com/w/super-zombie-juice-mega-bomb-mja-ware/1105391830). MJ Ware's website is: http://MJAWare.com. He resides in Northern California and is available as both a court approved zombie expert and for intensive "Zombie Safety" school lectures.
