Microsoft Dynamics GP User Group Announces New Professional Certification Program

Certification Program designed to recognize individuals with exceptional GP expertise in a particular role

TAMPA, FL, October 10, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Microsoft Dynamics GP User Group (GPUG ) has announced a new professional certification program for Dynamics GP Users - The GPUG Certification Program.

This certification program, offered through the GPUG Academy, is designed to recognize Dynamics GP professionals who demonstrate expertise in their particular role or focus area. The certification focuses not only on proficiency in using Dynamics GP, but also incorporates training and activities on role-based best practices, personal development, and other functional knowledge related to the specific role.

The first certification available through the GPUG Certification Program is the Professional Certification in Accounts Payable (PCAP ). The curriculum for the PCAP is comprehensive and flexible, giving participants an opportunity to take required and elective courses in a variety of formats, including online training or instructor-led courses available through GPUG Academy or Microsoft. PCAP courses are designed to provide in-depth knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics GP and supporting tools and an enhanced understanding of the processes surrounding the Accounts Payable function.

"We're pleased to be able to provide this Certification Program to Dynamics GP Users," said Mark Rhodes, GPUG Academy Director. "There are a lot of certifications out there, but this is the only role-based certification that recognizes GP users for their extensive, in-depth knowledge of and experience in the functional areas of a particular role. This deep proficiency is invaluable to the organizations they serve and this program is a way to recognize their expertise."

Applicants must be a member of GPUG to participate in the GPUG Certification Program. GPUG offers an Enterprise level (paid) and Basic (free) membership, and the program is open to members at any membership level.
