AKRON, OH, October 19, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bryant & Stratton College announced today that it is opening a new campus in Akron, Ohio. The Akron campus will be its fourth in northeast Ohio; the College currently has locations in Cleveland, Eastlake and Parma with nearly 3,000 students. Classes will begin on January 11, 2012, but Bryant & Stratton College is now enrolling students for its AAS-Nursing and Bachelor of Business Administration degree programs. More degree program offerings will be announced in 2012.
"We are excited to open a new Bryant & Stratton College campus in Akron. Bryant & Stratton College is committed to supporting Northeast Ohio and investing in the education of its residents. Today, more and more students need to balance school with work and family responsibilities. We saw Akron as a place that could benefit from our unique offerings, like flexible class schedules and lifetime career placement advisement and coaching," said Dr. Florentine Hoelker, Akron Campus Director, Bryant & Stratton College.
The Akron campus will feature new computer, medical and nursing labs that will provide students with a hands-on learning experience, focusing on skills they need to be career-ready. The campus will be approximately 25,000 square feet and will be conveniently located at 190 Montrose West Avenue. Campus officials expect to have 60 students enrolled by the time classes start in January and 300 students enrolled by fall 2012.
In addition to enrolling students, Bryant & Stratton College is also hiring locally for faculty and administrative staff positions. The College expects to hire eight faculty members by January and then continue hiring additional staff as needed through 2013.
