Plustek will be highlighting their SmartOffice series of Energy Star certified document and hard card scanners including; ; SmartOffice PS406U, SmartOffice PS286 Plus, and SmartOffice PN2040. The PS406U is a high-speed, departmental class, duplex document scanner capable of heavy duty cycles, featuring a 100-page Automatic Document Feeder (ADF) and 4000 page per day duty cycle. The SmartOffice PS286 Plus is a workgroup class document scanner that features include: 25 page per minute scan speed, scan to FTP via DocAction, and the ability to scan A3 sized documents via internal image stitching. The SmartOffice PS286 Plus features a 50-page ADF and 1,500 page-per-day duty The SmartOffice PN2040 is a network attached scanner that features a 50-sheet ADF, flatbed and 20 page per minute scan speed.
Plustek will be exhibiting multiple products from their Energy Star certified, mobile scanning portfolio including the MobileOffice S400, MobileOffice S420, and MobileOffice D428. The MobileOffice S400 and S420 are powered by the USB bus and do not require external power. With the touch of a button the user can scan to a PC, laptop or netbook at a scanning speeds of up to 12 pages per minute for the MobileOffice S420 (3 pages per minute for the MobileOffice S400). The MobileOffice D428 is only 4x12 inches, provides 600-dpi resolution,
and a scanning speed of 2.2 seconds per page (28-ppm). All three of these scanners have the ability to scan any paper or plastic hard card up to 1.2mm thick, including ID cards, insurance cards, drivers' licenses, and plastic cards with embossed characters.
All SmartOffice and MobleOffice Scanners feature advanced image processing that allows the user to scan mixed sized documents with no adjustments. Images are automatically straightened, rotated and adjusted for exposure with no manual intervention.
Plustek will also be exhibiting the EZBookScan Center, a standalone book and bound materials scanning system ideal for any organization uses that scans large books, historical records and documents for preservation, digitization of content and sharing. The EZBookScan Center can scan a large format A3-size page in just 2.5 seconds. Easy to use, the EZBookScan Center's touch-screen display guide prompts the user through the scanning process enabling them to scan and save books, bound materials and documents in a variety of formats including searchable PDF. The EZBookScan Center features Plustek's SEE Technology (Shadow Elimination Element) that combines a patent-pending illumination system with a special edge design that eliminates shadows and distortions typically found when scanning bound materials on flatbed scanners.
