Industry Thought Leaders from Innovative-e, Inc. to Present Sessions at PMI Global Congress 2011—North America

Industry thought leaders from Innovative-e, Inc., a business consulting and technology services company specializing in SharePoint technologies, will be presenting sessions at the PMI Global Congress 2011—North America.

Innovative-e managing partner, Dux Raymond Sy, PMP, will be presenting the session, "Leverage Project 2010 with Office 365 for Project Management Success." In this session, Sy will discuss how to effectively create a Microsoft Project Plan, create a SharePoint-based Project Management Information System (PMIS) with Office 365, and integrate Microsoft Project information with SharePoint 2010. In addition, he will cover best practices around empowering a project team to share relevant information, facilitate better collaboration and build project management dashboards in SharePoint. Sy, author of SharePoint for Project Management, published by O'Reilly Media, will also host a book signing on October 24 at 4 p.m. at the Microsoft Project Booth #301.

Dux Raymond Sy is a managing partner and chief evangelist of Innovative-e, a Microsoft Gold Certified Partner. Sy is also a certified project management professional (PMP) with more than 15 years of experience in information technology, as well as the author of SharePoint for Project Management. Sy has also been named a Microsoft Most Valuable Professional (MVP).

Innovative-e managing partner Tim Cermak, MBA, PMP, will be joining Doc Dochtermann, PMI-SP, PMP, MCITP, and Lynn Jesus-Olhausen, MA, PMP, MCTS, in presenting the session, "Introduction to a Project Portfolio Management Maturity Model Part of Scheduling Community Track." This session will help attendees understand how the Project Portfolio Management (PPM) maturity model provides organizations with an understanding of the relationships between the business process lifecycle and the PPM maturity levels. The session will cover how to minimize the impacts of change when an organization moves from a basic way of managing work to a more sophisticated level of rigor using project management best practices, methods, tools and technologies.

Tim Cermak has nearly 20 years of experience in complex project and portfolio program implementation and development. Past experiences include serving as a senior vice president for a global project/portfolio management consulting company and as vice president of global strategic alliances for the Microsoft Project Association. Cermak is the author of multiple white papers, diagrams and presentations for executive business decision-makers who want to source PPM technologies.
