LOS ANGELES, CA, October 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) The Children's Cancer Research Fund (CCRF) has launched the Light Up The Nation campaign and website (www.lightupthenation.org) - a unique holiday giving program benefitting both the donor and a child in the hospital. From now until the end of the year, both individuals and corporations can participate and bring a smile to a child in the hospital undergoing cancer treatment. For each $50 donation, the donor will receive Harry the Holiday Conductor Bear. As Harry arrives at the donor's doorstep, a matching bear will also be sent to a child at participating hospitals, nationwide. In addition, the donor's name will adorn a gift tag on the CCRF Christmas Tree or Menorah on http://www.LightUpTheNation.org.
With participating hospitals in almost every state, children around the nation will be recipients of Harry the conductor bear. Thanks to generous sponsors and volunteers, 100% of every $50 donation goes directly to funding pediatric oncology research. To view the local recipient hospital in each state, visit the interactive map at http://www.lightupthenation.org/#/kids-benefit.
