The New Wave Of Celebrity Nurseries Is All About The Fabric

Celebrity moms are spending a bundle on their new little ones, but some have made better decisions regarding what to spend the money on.

2011-10-22
CITY OF COMMERCE, CA, October 22, 2011 (Press-News.org) The latest trend in Hollywood's most desirable nurseries are custom made soothing suites for new mommy and baby.

The latest celebrity to follow this trend is former Spice Girl, Mel B. Her lavish soothing suite is equipped with a velvet plush chair that is perfect for nursing her new infant Madison. Her total for a nursery filled with soothing silk drapes was $5,245. The baby's pink custom bedding alone was $1,340.

New mom and famous singer Pink decided to go another route. Even though Pink was looking at nurseries in Beverly Hills earlier this year for around $1300, it is said she had a friend custom make the quilts. Baby Willow now has a one of a kind comforter that didn't cost her an arm and a leg.

Beyonce is going to be the next VIP to be a new mommy. Her own mother has already picked out the perfect cream fabric and made a nursery for her future grandchild within her own house. However, Beyonce and Jay-Z have not made any final decisions on who they are going to use to design their nursery. If they do decide to go with celebrity designer Stephen Fanuka, he said, "Their Grammys would line the walls." For now, we can rest assured that Beyonce is taking her time and considering all kinds of fabrics and colours. She said, "I am having so much fun...I love being pregnant."

The watch is now on soon-to-be-married Jessica Simpson, who was recently spotted holding a fan's baby at the Macy's Union Square in San Francisco. Even though she has recently postponed her nuptials to ex-NFL star Eric Johnson, it was obvious that motherhood suits her well, and hopefully soon, she may be a mother herself.
