Harrison College School Of Veterinary Technology Raises Funds In Campaign To Assist Cats Haven

Indianapolis - Northwest Campus To Help No-Kill Cat Shelter In Finding $2,000 To Pay For Work On Installing New Floor

INDIANAPOLIS, IN, ovember 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Dr. Myra Jones, interim dean of the Harrison College School of Veterinary Technology (http://www.harrison.edu), has announced that their Northwest campus in Indianapolis plans to raise $2,000 for Cats Haven, a local no-kill cat shelter, to purchase equipment needed to install a new first floor at the shelter house. The converted Victorian home is in need of many repairs. Students, faculty, and staff from the Northwest campus are planning on installing the floor with guidance from a professional remodeler during the weekend starting Friday, Nov. 18. - The Northwest campus is home to the School of Information Technology and the School of Veterinary Technology. The Harrison College School of Veterinary Technology offers a curriculum that covers all areas of animal patient care, including laboratory procedures, radiology, surgery, client education, as well as preventive medicine. The program is accredited by the American Veterinary Medical Association at the Indianapolis - Northwest campus and is seeking accreditation at the Evansville campus.

- Cats Haven, Indianapolis' oldest no-kill cat shelter, began operations more than 20 years ago as a sanctuary for special-needs cats and kittens, and senior cats who had outlived their owners.
