LUTZ, FL, November 03, 2011 (Press-News.org) Freedom Marathon, Inc.(FMI), a nonprofit organization whose mission is to raise awareness and help support the needs of veterans and their families through running events, welcomes the United States Naval Academy (USNA) Silent Drill Team to the Norfolk Freedom Half Marathon. The team will perform on Nov. 13 before the 7 a.m. race at Waterside Drive in Norfolk, VA.
The inaugural race occurs Veteran's Day weekend Nov. 11-13, 2011 in Norfolk, VA. The City of Norfolk is a proud co-sponsor and host of the half marathon. Freedom Marathon, Inc. and the City of Norfolk partnered to manage these events for the next five years.
"We look forward to having these fine, well-trained men and women perform before the start of the Norfolk Freedom Half Marathon. They have traveled around the country and I am honored they will be here in Norfolk on Veterans Day to kick off our inaugural race," said Manny Cordero, CEO and Founder, Freedom Marathon, Inc.
The USNA Silent Drill Team won several awards including 1st Place Platoon Basic from the Cornell Invitational Drill Meet and 1st Place Overall Armed Drill at the Villanova University Invitational Drill Meet.

The research, based on proposals received from venues in 2011, showed that 75 per cent of proposals were discounted below the venues' published rates, with hotels offering some of the biggest savings. An average reduction of 25 per cent was being offered.
The average day delegate rate being paid for conferences and meetings in London was GBP54, with an average published price of GBP72.
