Novachi Sponsors Literacy Week

Novachi joins other education industry leaders in supporting the state of Florida's Literacy Week and Take the Lead and Read challenge.

SANTA CLARA, CA, November 23, 2011

Novachi is proud to announce that they are sponsoring Florida Department of Education's Celebrate Literacy Week. Literacy Week is part of Florida's "Take the Lead and Read" campaign which is designed to motivate students to read, and to take charge in encouraging others to read as well. The contest starts the week of January 23rd 2011.

Administrators, teachers, and parents are also encouraged to do their part in facilitating their children and other students to unlock the benefits of reading and the lifetime of enjoyment it can bring. Florida's Literacy Week challenge, Take the Lead and Read, asks students to read for as many minutes as possible. The goal for this year's Take the Lead and Read challenge is 20 million minutes.

The more who participate in this challenge, the greater chances of success for Florida's schools. Help promote the Take the Lead and Read challenge like Novachi. Spread the word, and encourage others to participate. Students who read at least 20 minutes a day, according to the National Center for Educational Statistics, significantly increases student reading achievement.

Novachi joins other premiere education organizations like Florida's Education Foundation, Scholastic, and Learning A-Z. Novachi is a provider of free IIS (Instructional Improvement Systems) and is available to all Florida schools, public, private, or charter for free. IIS systems facilitate online classroom learning, and the collection of student and faculty achievement data which helps schools coordinate programs, and judge the efficacy of education practices.

To get involved in the Literacy Week campaign, and to help promote literacy in Florida, follow this link: http://www.justreadflorida.com/pdf/CelebrateLiteracy-PSA-ContestInfo.pdf. The Florida department of education encourages students grades K-12 to participate in creating their own PSA to promote the contest. Entries can include a short video presentation that promotes an issue or topic important to society and creates public awareness for the program.

Novachi enables students, parents, and educators to collaborate online. Novachi improves education experience by automating many classroom administrative tasks so that teachers can focus on teaching and students can focus on learning. Parents can better engage in their child's learning process through greater insight, collaboration, and participation in classroom activities. Novachi is free to use for public and private schools.
