CHARLESTON, SC, November 24, 2011 (Press-News.org) Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm in Charleston, South Carolina visited Military Magnet Academy High School located in North Charleston, SC on Monday October 31st, 2011. Attorney Evan Guthrie spoke to the Law Enforcement Class at the Military Magnet Academy. The law enforcement class covers different aspects of the law including how to prosecute a case in court and how to be a witness in court. These duties are essential to law enforcement and Mr. Guthrie gave some of his background and knowledge of how cases are prosecuted and how to be an effective witness in court. Attorney Evan Guthrie of the Evan Guthrie Law Firm spoke to the class about courtroom procedure and how to effectively present a case to a jury and how to address the judge. Mr. Guthrie explained the different parts of a trial and strategies and tips and how to conduct each part. Attorney Guthrie spoke about how to stand in front of a jury and speak confidently. Mr. Guthrie also answered questions about criminal procedure and Fourth Amendment topics that are routine in law enforcement and how a criminal defense lawyer looks upon them and how that is different from the perspective of a law enforcement officer. Attorney Evan Guthrie also answered questions about how to become a lawyer and the day to day activities that an attorney participates in from types of cases to how a lawyer gets paid. Mr. Guthrie spoke to two different classes and enjoyed meeting the students and answering their questions.
