MELBOURNE, AUSTRALIA, September 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) Melbourne indie darlings British India are bringing their live show to Brothers in Cairns towards the end of next month.

Hot off the back of achieving their second top-ten album in less than a year and a half, the band are playing at the venue on October 22nd 2010, with Red Book Comics providing support.

Having burst onto the scene three years ago, British India are now widely regarded as one of Australia's best and most thrilling live bands, which means music lovers staying in Cairns hotels at the time of the gig should make every effort to get their hands on tickets.

Their rise to prominence has been marked by the release of three critically acclaimed albums - debut LP Guillotine, the ARIA-nominated Thieves in 2008 and latest effort Avalanche, which hit the top ten this May.

Along the way, they have managed to attract plenty of fans and were even able to perform to a global audience after appearing in TV soap Neighbours in August - during which they played a show in Charlie's Bar.
