LateRooms.com - Rich Robinson Set for York Performance

Rich Robinson of The Black Crowes is due to play live at Fibbers in York.

2011-12-20
YORK, ENGLAND, December 20, 2011 (Press-News.org) Black Crowes guitarist Rich Robinson is heading to York for a solo performance next year.

The American musician will embark on a tour of the UK in February to promote his new album Through a Crooked Sun, which is his second release as a solo artist.

His show at Fibbers in York on Monday February 13th will give fans of Robinson's mellow and melodic songwriting a chance to hear his latest work performed live.

Through a Crooked Sun, which was released in October this year, has been praised by critics for offering a subtle alternative to the raucous blues-rock of Robinson's band.

The Atlanta-born guitarist formed The Black Crowes with his brother Chris Robinson, who became the group's lead vocalist, in the 1980s.

Releasing their debut album Shake Your Money Maker in 1990, the band enjoyed a breakthrough hit with their version of Otis Redding's Hard to Handle.

Their most recent album was 2010's Croweology, which featured acoustic versions of classic tracks from throughout their career.

Tickets to see Rich Robinson in York can be purchased online, priced at GBP14. Doors are due to open at 19:30 GMT.

LateRooms.com offers a large selection of discount hotels that could appeal to concert-goers in York, including The Churchill Hotel.
