Perth Mint Announces Sell Out Of 1oz Silver Bullion Tiger Coin

The Perth Mint has achieved another sell out from the popular Australian Lunar Gold and Silver Bullion Coin Series

2010-09-23
PERTH, AUSTRALIA, September 23, 2010 (Press-News.org) The success of the annual Series, which features the animals of the ancient Chinese zodiac, is highlighted once again with the 300,000 mintage of 2010 Year of the Tiger 1oz silver bullion coin now sold out.

This announcement follows the sell out of the 30,000 1oz Year of the Tiger gold bullion coin earlier in the year - a status also achieved in 2009 and 2008 with the sell out of the 1oz gold releases from the Year of the Ox and the Year of the Mouse, respectively.

Demand for Australia's silver bullion coins remains elevated and steady, with the sell out of the 2010 Year of the Tiger 1oz silver coin repeating the same high level of sales achieved in the Year of the Ox last year.

As well as appealing to investors, the Australian Lunar Series is also sought by collectors because of its numismatic qualities - namely annual design changes, limited mintages and superior 'strike'.

The Perth Mint is solely entrusted by the Australian Goverment to produce the nation's official investment coins, including 99.9% pure silver coins portraying inconic Australian wildlife. Visit their new website at: http://www.perthmintbullion.com/
