WESTLAKE VILLAGE, CA, December 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Barry Ratcliffe was selected to play the part of the butcher, Billy Jack, in "The Penny Dreadful Picture Show, Vol. 1." He is the matriarch of the family, who the audience assumes is a bunch of crazed, deliberate, vicious, and psychotic killers, who torture, kill, and eat there victims, but things are not always what they seem, as a young group of stranded motorists quickly discover.
The film is the creation of Leigh Scott, a true superstar in the world of directing and cinematography. His film "The Witches of Oz" starring Christopher Lloyd and Sean Astin, in which Barry plays the "not so cowardly" lion, will be in theatres in 2012.
"The Penny Dreadful Picture Show" will also make its' theatrical debut this year. The film reunites stars from "The Witches of Oz" including actor and former WWE Superstar Al Snow, as well as the quadruple threat talent of actor, writer, composer, and producer, Eliza Swenson.
Barry Ratcliffe is also working with veteran mega star Sid Haig, as well as horror favorites Jeffery Combs and Devanny Pinn. The cast is rounded out by an all star talent list like Kristina Hammond, Alexis Iacono, Josh Hammond, Brandon Stacy, and Collen Galyean.
In a style beckoning Scorsese and Tarantino at their best, Leigh Scott brings us an incredible and visually stunning shocker! In his own words:
"Monsters? Check.
Violence? Check.
Blood? Check.
Cheerleaders? Check.
Girls Making Out? Check."
"When great actors meet great directors with great scripts and a great crew, life is good, art is inevitable!" - Barry Ratcliffe
