TAMPA, FL, December 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) Bill Horne, CEO of Laser Spine Institute (http://www.laserspineinstitute.com), the leader in endoscopic spine surgery, has announced that Clint Borm, director of physician relations, has been named a finalist for the Business Buddies Tampa Best in Business Awards in the category of Young Professional of the Year. Business Buddies Tampa is a network of professionals in Tampa Bay supporting Best Buddies, a global volunteer movement that creates opportunities for people with intellectual and developmental disabilities. Business Buddies Tampa hosted its 2nd Annual Holiday Ball featuring the Best in Business Awards on Dec. 8 at the Mainsail Tampa Suites Hotel, located at 5108 Eisenhower Blvd. The annual Holiday Ball provided the opportunity to give back to the community while visiting with friends, colleagues and neighbors and celebrating the accomplishments of the finalists. Attendees enjoyed live entertainment, dinner, dancing and the presentation of the Best in Business Awards.
As director of physician relations at Laser Spine Institute, Borm establishes short- and long-term strategies for business retention, develops new referral sources and assesses opportunities to recruit new physicians. His efforts focus on enhancement of communication between community physicians and Laser Spine Institute medical professionals. Borm builds departmental business plans that create protocols, processes and budgetary guidelines as well as including the design and implementation of a CRM information system. He earned a Bachelor of Science from Murray State University in Murray, Ky. and is enrolled in an executive MBA program at University of Tampa. He has been named to the board of directors for The First Tee of Tampa Bay, a program branch of the Tampa Metropolitan Area YMCA that strives to impact the lives of young people by providing various educational programs to help strengthen character, promote healthy life decisions, and develop strong core values through the game of golf.
