XBOSoft Hosts Sweden Seminar on Quality Assurance for Mobile Applications

XBOSoft, a global leader in software quality improvement services, hosted a seminar in the Bonnier Conference Center sharing its quality assurance (QA) experience for mobile software.

2011-12-29
STOCKHOLM, SWEDEN, December 29, 2011 (Press-News.org) On December 15, XBOSoft, a global leader in software quality improvement services, hosted a seminar in the Bonnier Conference Center sharing its quality assurance (QA) experience for mobile software. Attendees had the chance to discuss with speakers and peers how to optimize their QA processes for the support of mobile applications.

Alan Trefzger, Senior Quality Consultant at XBOSoft, shared his experience in QA management and gave a presentation on Mobile Application Testing from which the audience could learn best practices on how to assure the quality of mobile applications. ¡°Mobile applications are a major reason for the increase in numbers of mobile devices in recent years, especially on Android and iOS platforms. The challenge for developers is to deliver a high quality application within a very short development lifecycle. The temptation is to shortcut the testing for quicker delivery, but this will greatly reduce the quality of the app. How to assure your app's high quality while meeting tight time schedules is the hot topic for mobile applications.¡± said Alan.

Marcus Ahnve, Senior Consultant of Valtech, presented the possibilities of automation testing for mobile applications on iOS and Android devices. "The state of automatic testing of mobile applications reminds me of the early days of building web applications in Java. There are a number of tools trying to overcome the obstacles that the mobile application frameworks provides, and we're probably going to see improved tooling over the coming years.¡±, said Marcus, ¡°Right now the application owner will carefully have to consider whether automatic testing justifies the cost."

XBOSoft hosts a series of Seminars in the USA, and Europe covering different hot topics in the field of software quality improvement. These events provide a great opportunity for both of XBOSoft and attendees to exchange experience and opinions on software quality improvement.
