NEW YORK, NY, January 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Gustav Gauntlett, socially conscious Hip Hop playwright, New York City teaching artist, and urban gardener is definitely someone we should know. We had the chance to chat with the hip hop playwright about his most recent project Mama Nature: A Hip Hop Musical.
Mama Nature: A Hip Hop Musical is Gus Gauntlett's third theatrical feature written completely in rhyme. His first production, Big Apple Turns to Cider, was performed all around New York City and at West Point Military Academy. Much Ado About Hip Hop, a modern interpretation of Shakespeare's classic, was donated to South Bronx Preparatory High School.
Mama Nature: A Hip Hop Musical premiered at the Nuyorican Poets Cafe in New York City. The play has a special New Year's Eve showing at the Parish House of the Church of the Redeemer located at 36 South Street, Morristown, NJ. The doors open at 9:15 PM and the show starts at 9:45 PM.
