WGB Kinsey is One of Zimbabwe's Most Experienced Construction and Open Cast Mining Companies

Having been around for quite a substantial amount of time, the company has built up quite a reputation which gives WGB Kinsey a strong advantage over competitors

2012-01-10
CARLSBAD, CA, January 10, 2012 (Press-News.org) Having been around for quite a substantial amount of time, the company has built up quite a reputation which gives WGB Kinsey a strong advantage over competitors.

"Based on our reputation and history, we seem to have an edge. We receive a vast amount of contract opportunities through the name of our company," says Damon Goldsmith, Quantity Surveyor at WGB Kinsey. "We are quite established and our size allows us to take on certain projects that only a few companies within the country like Kinsey, can manage."

WGB Kinsey has developed an in-house system which helps the company monitor resources and ultimately improve activities on the ground. "This regards simple monitoring of fuel consumption on a machine to analysing the complete performance and cost control of a whole project," notes Goldsmith. "We are in favour of gathering as much information as possible from the ground."

The mining industry remains heavily governed in terms of health, safety, and the environment with WGB Kinsey closely adhering to standard guidelines during operations. However, Goldsmith asserts that the company is always keen to improve the quality of its activities as well as its environmental footprint.

"We are well aware of issues surrounding the environment and safety so we are certainly up-to-date with Zimbabwe and the rest of Africa's standards," he says. "We are able to focus on key areas on the ground and with that we can reduce the time frames of our environmental impact."
