Aluminium Boats Australia is Expanding the Ferry and Maritime Industry with High-Class Products Ready to Compete at a World Level

Aluminium Boats Australia is a world-class builder of aluminium, composite and steel high-performance light craft that specialises in ferries and leisure craft.

2012-01-13
CARLSBAD, CA, January 13, 2012 (Press-News.org) Aluminium Boats Australia is a world-class builder of aluminium, composite and steel high-performance light craft that specialises in ferries and leisure craft. It also provides service and maintenance support and engineering solutions in all aspects of the industry for commercial and private owners. Its highly skilled workforce is among the faster builders in the world and recently completed the second of five Enviro Cat boats, possibly the most fuel efficient maritime vessel.

"The future of the ferry industry and maritime transportation is not in the cheapest possible product," general manager Stuart Pascoe says. "It's in utilising the best technologies, the best systems, to produce a vessel, which will create the least impact on both the environment and the consumers."

ABA is expanding its operation to the United States with a new shipyard location. The decision to expand to the U.S. stems from the belief that the American and Australian manufacturing industries are among the most talented within this particular product area. Opportunity exists for Australia to compete at a world level because clients and money still exist, Pascoe explains. It has not vanished. It is simply what and where people are spending it.

"I believe that innovation and quality products still have a place," Pascoe says. "We would like to utilise the skills there and the skills here to increase the industry, not constantly looking at decreasing because there is opportunity."
