HOLLYWOOD, FL, February 23, 2012 (Press-News.org) The Continental Group (TCG), a FirstService Residential Management company, is hosting an educational seminar for condominium board member certification. Registration will start at 6:00 p.m. and the course will begin at 7:00 p.m. on Monday, Feb. 27th at the University of North Florida (UNF) University Center located at 12000 Alumni Drive, Jacksonville, Fla. This seminar is part of the statewide Continental Certified Educational Program Series and is open to any condominium board member who wishes to attend.
As the leading Florida property management company, TCG shares best practices in the communities it serves to help enhance board effectiveness and efficiency. This course will focus on the rights and responsibilities of the board member role. Participants will have guidance in the areas of service provision, physical asset management and effective support and advocacy on behalf of their community. A review of documents that govern associations will also be highlighted, such as Covenants, Conditions & Restrictions (CC&R), Master Deeds, Articles of Incorporations, Bylaws and Resolutions.
Upon completion of the course, a TCG instructor will present newly elected or appointed condominium board members with a certificate of completion that satisfies Florida legal requirements for condominium association board members.
