New, Easy to Install IP Camera Targets Do-It-Yourselfers

2012-02-24
IRVINE, CA, February 24, 2012 (Press-News.org) Smarthome announces the launch of its new Wireless IP Security Camera. The camera, which allows monitoring from anywhere in the world with an Internet connection, is currently available on Smarthome.com for $99.99.

Whether a home or business owner is worried about what animals have decided to occupy their yard in the evening, or they are concerned more about the two-legged variety trying to enter their home or business, the Smarthome Wireless IP Security Camera has them covered. The camera features 11 infrared LEDs that can provide 8 meters (26 feet) of visibility in absolute darkness. It transmits high quality video images at 30 frames per second on your local or wireless network by using MJPEG hardware compression technology. The user can also receive digital images via email when motion has been detected at a resolution of 640 x 480 (300k Pixels).

"The Smarthome Wireless IP Security Camera is a great solution for those looking to add surveillance to their home or office without breaking the bank," said Director of Marketing, Mike Scharnagl. "Many homeowners want to add surveillance to their residence, but are afraid of the price or do not want to have a professional handle the installation. Smarthome is offering the Wireless IP Camera with the price conscious, do-it-yourselfer in mind - users can go from box to watching a real-time surveillance video within minutes."

The camera can be integrated into the user's INSTEON home automation network using either HouseLinc - INSTEON Desktop Software or SmartLinc - INSTEON Central Controller. There are also dozens of IP camera apps available in the iTunes store and Android marketplace to make viewing the Smarthome Wireless IP Security Camera easy on any web-enabled device.
