LateRooms.com - Head to Paris for Tim Burton Exhibition

The Cinematheque Francaise in Paris is set to host a major celebration of Tim Burton's creative output.

PARIS, FRANCE, February 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) An exhibition dedicated to maverick film director Tim Burton will open in Paris next month.
 
Running at the Cinematheque Francaise from Wednesday March 7th to Sunday August 5th, the event is set to feature screenings of all his films and plenty more to satisfy the most avid fans.
 
As well as his movies, visitors will be invited to consider Burton's creative talents as a painter, video artist, photographer and sculptor.
 
More than 700 works will be on display in total, including props and costumes from some of the films.
 
The exhibition, which was created in 2009 by the Museum of Modern Art in New York, offers people a chance to fully immerse themselves in the director's weird and wonderful world.
 
Born in the Californian city of Burbank, Burton made his name with films such as Beetlejuice, Edward Scissorhands and Batman Returns.
 
More recently, the 53-year-old directed the updated Disney version of Alice in Wonderland and is due to release a 3D remake of his 1984 short film Frankenweenie later this year.
 
Admission to the Cinematheque Francaise is priced at EUR11 (GBP9.20) for adults and EUR5.50 for people under 18.
