COUNTY DONEGAL, IRELAND, February 29, 2012 (Press-News.org) Lough Eske Castle enjoyed a double celebration at last night's prestigious WeddingsOnline.ie awards ceremony, where the five-star rural haven was crowned Castle Venue of the Year, and their resident wedding organiser; Noreen Lyons was named, Wedding Venue Co-ordinator of the year.
Over 17,000 Irish brides and grooms voted in the influential awards, their choices were then considered by an esteemed panel of bridal suppliers and industry professionals, who handed out the final accolades based on the quality of the weddings provided and the overall bridal experience.
Lough Eske Castle, which is part of Solís Hotels & Resorts, opened just five years ago in northwest Ireland after being transformed from a ruin into Donegal's only Five Star establishment, by the property owner and proud Donegal native Pat Doherty. Half a decade since the castle's doors opened, it is widely recognised as Ireland's quintessential fairytale wedding venue.
