Takeoff Announces Full Version of Online Video Collaboration Software

Takeoffvideo.com is a cloud SaaS platform designed to streamline the collaborative process for video content creators, teams, and clients. The company announces graduation from beta to full version release.

2012-03-01
HIGHLAND PARK, NJ, March 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) Takeoff, an online platform that enables collaboration on video productions, announced today that it has moved from beta to a full, completed version of their application. Previously, Takeoff was in beta for over a year, and during that time the company made constant improvements to the software in response to user feedback.

"We knew we had something when we went from just a few users to over 5,000 within a year," said co-founder Chris Kilayko. "By opening our feedback channels, we developed those early adopters into a very passionate user base rallied behind a fine-tuned product."

The release of this new version is accompanied by a departure from the freeware model that has found remarkable support among the professional video production community. Its biggest appeal? The ease of review, feedback, and approval of video projects.

"When we announced we were going to start charging, we were overwhelmingly surprised to see our users rally behind us. Not only were they willing to pay, but they were excited to share it with friends and colleagues. That meant a lot to us and pushed us to continually improve," said Kilayko.

Takeoff has plans to keep working on their program. Planned developments include a native iOS app, white label customization, desktop uploading, and direct NLE integration where comments can show up directly in an editor's sequence. The company also continues to welcome feedback from users.
