Pan-Asian "Flex-Casual" Concept Meets Consumer Demand for Fresh, Healthy Foods; SBC Restaurants to "Flex" Their Muscles in Baton Rouge and Lafayette

AUSTIN, TX, August 18, 2010

Since Murphy Adams Restaurant Group purchased Mama Fu's in 2008, business has gone nowhere but up. Complete with a new prototype, retooled menu and an innovative âEURœflex-casualâEUR service model, Mama FuâEUR s announces the signing of an area development agreement for three restaurants in southern Louisiana.

The signed agreement, targeting Baton Rouge and Lafayette, is part of an aggressive national expansion plan calling for 130 restaurants in the next five years. With 13 locations successfully operating throughout Arkansas, Florida, North Carolina and Texas, the signed agreement will bring the first Mama FuâEUR s franchised locations to the Louisiana market.

âEURœItâEUR s a tremendous time for us as we build on our brandâEUR s success and sign our first area development agreement in Louisiana,âEUR said Randy Murphy, President and CEO of Mama FuâEUR s. âEURœOur newest franchise partners in Louisiana are quality individuals and have extensive experience in the restaurant business. We are excited about their development and look forward to helping them grow.âEUR

Mama FuâEUR s, where Pan-Asian meets fast and fresh, offers consumers convenience, value and unique flavors with its high quality, made-to-order Asian-inspired food. With a contemporary and user-friendly menu that allows customers to navigate their options more easily, guests can choose between a rice dish or noodle bowl, as well as their protein of choice, from a selection of Chinese, Thai, Japanese, Vietnamese and Korean menu options. More health-conscious customers can order a Steam Bowl or have their protein prepared wok-seared, a cooking method that reduces oils and starch.

âEURœThe fun, contemporary environment seen in our restaurants, complete with the right mix of quality, flavorful cuisine, will help capture each and every one of our customersâEUR appetites,âEUR added Murphy.

SBC Restaurants, LLC will lead Mama FuâEUR s southern Louisiana expansion with area developers Kyle Brechtel, Gary Solomon and Kyle Crochet. As veterans of the franchise industry âEUR" with such concepts as ChiliâEUR s, Smoothie King, McAlisterâEUR s Deli and New Orleans Original Daiquiris âEUR" the group brings a wealth of development knowledge to Mama FuâEUR s.

âEURœThe potential for Mama FuâEUR s is endless as it is the only Asian-inspired concept in the marketplace that offers a contemporary flex-casual setting for lunch and dinner,âEUR said Brechtel. âEURœWe couldnâEUR t be more excited about bringing Mama FuâEUR s into Baton Rouge and Lafayette.âEUR
