Young AJ Drops New Single "On My Job" Featuring Rap Vet Trick Daddy, Readies Release of Street Album Just Like Music

On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, central Florida heavyweight rapper Young AJ strikes again with new surefire hit single "On My Job" featuring Miami's own legendary hip-hop veteran Trick Daddy.

2012-03-01
TAMPA, FL, March 01, 2012 (Press-News.org) On his rapid rise to the top of the rap game, central Florida heavyweight rapper Young AJ strikes again with new surefire hit single "On My Job" featuring Miami's own legendary hip-hop veteran Trick Daddy.

The track is sure to blaze up the Sunshine State. And it will properly prep this regional phenomenon known simply as Young AJ for his much-anticipated third solo street album Just Like Music slated to be released early this Spring.

Produced by talented beat technicians T.O.O.L., Young AJ and Trick Daddy recite heart-felt, inspirational messages about setting goals, getting a good education, and taking care of business atop a soulful Luther Vandross sample.

"'On My Job' is a motivational song for young people to understand the importance of making good choices and taking care of business," Young AJ explains. "There is enough negativity in the world. I want to put something in their heads to think about, give them something that they can use."

Steadily expanding the boundaries of creativity on Just Like Music, the entire street album is a modern-day re-creation of samples from original 1980s hip hop and R&B records. "I wanted to do something that no one has ever done before," says AJ. "I'm paying homage to the old while bringing the music up to the present day with a new twist."

No stranger to the music industry, Young AJ has been a fixture on the central Florida hip hop scene since he set it off in 2009 with his runaway hit single "Run It Back," a club track featuring a sample from Cheryl Lynn's high-energy 80s R&B single "Encore."

Since the success of that single throughout Florida, Young AJ released his first solo mixtape Its My Time hosted by the popular DJ Spinatik featuring D4L/G-Unit recording artist Shawty Lo. Shortly after, came follow-up mixtape Its My Time Vol 2: Play Still in Motion hosted by DJ Spinatik and DJ Christion. It featured another successful hit from AJ, "Young Sh*t Dumb Sh*t," and "Im Outta Here," featuring Grand Hustle/ Atlantic recording artist Young Dro. An instant smash, Young AJ's buzz ignited from moderately hot to blazing.

Now, Young AJ is eager to see the response he gets from his newest heat-seeking single "On My Job" featuring Trick Daddy. And he is on the verge of releasing his most-anticipated project to date, Just Like Music, due in the Spring.
