RESEARCH TRIANGLE PARK, NC, March 15, 2012 (Press-News.org) Senior Pastor Andy Thompson, founder of World Overcomers Christian Church (http://www.wocconline.org), a nondenominational church serving worshippers in North Carolina's Research Triangle Park community, has announced that his father, Bishop G.A. Thompson, will speak at the church's Sunday morning services on March 18 at 8 a.m., 10 a.m. and noon in the sanctuary located at 2933 S. Miami Blvd. in Durham. His message will center on the hope that is found in God's eternal kingdom.
A native of Philadelphia, Bishop Thompson holds a bachelor's degree from the Moody Bible Institute in Chicago and a master's degree in theology from the Boston University School of Theology. A senior pastor in Boston for 40 years, he leads Jubilee Christian Church, which was founded in 1982 and is one of the largest congregations in New England. Bishop Thompson is the presiding prelate as well for Church Without Walls International, a network of churches he founded in 1982 in order to transform inner cities. He and his wife, Yvonne, have been married 45 years and have eight children and 21 grandchildren.
