TACOMA, WA, March 22, 2012 (Press-News.org) Sound Physicians CEO and Founder, Robert A. Bessler, MD, is an invited speaker at the Hospital Medicine 2012 Annual Meeting, set for April 1-4 in San Diego, Calif.

Dr. Bessler will present Economics of Hospital Medicine: The Changing Value Proposition, on April 3, from 11 a.m. to 12 p.m. EDT at the conference. Attendees to the educational session will learn about the economic pressures faced by hospitals and opportunities hospitalists have to make a difference in the changing healthcare landscape.

Hospital Medicine 2012 is one of the largest national conferences in hospital medicine, offering countless education and networking opportunities. The 2011 event brought together more than 2,700 healthcare professionals focused on transforming healthcare and revolutionizing patient care.

During the four-day event, two Sound Physicians hospitalists will receive recognition as Fellows in Hospital Medicine. In addition, two of Sound Physicians regional chief medical officers will receive recognition as Senior Fellows in Hospital Medicine. Physicians receiving recognition include:
